-You go though life living each day
-Trying to survive and get past the mistakes that you've made
-Thinking about the things you can't change
-All the while trying to find someone else but yourself to blame
-Making an effort to make each day better than the last
-Making a conscious effort not to keep reliving your past
-Trying your best to show people who you really are
-But making a point to stay true and not take things to far
-Longing to have that comfort of someone by your side
-For them to understand you and not have a reason to hide
-To have the courage to let your doubts go
-To let your guard down and let your true feelings show
-You have so much to give just bottled up inside you
-Being patient is not always something that is easy to do
-Days than months and then years slowly go by
-You can't ever seem to fine the problem; you never really know why
-Why has no one wanted to invest their time in me?
-How many more times do I have to say, "What's meant to be will be?"
-Scared to fall to hard; scared to fall to fast
-Trying to do everything right so that this one good thing will last
-You can't help but think the problem has been you all along
-Fighting the urge not to give up; trying to remain strong
-Continuing to have faith that one day everything will change
-Is something hard to do; especially when things remain the same
-Simply wanting to give someone all your love
-To tell then how much you adore them; starting with a hug
-To show them the little things that make them smile each day
-Finding new things to make them laugh; surprising them along the way
-With each passing day that goes by
-You try not to think about it and wonder why
-Wondering when your heart will be filled with complete happiness
-Wondering when you'll find that something you're heart has always missed

One of my favorite quotes...
Bob Marley was definitely a wise man. I think what I like most about him, is that he just kept things simple. He didn't try to complicate things or use big words that didn't really make sense. It was all from the heart and all something everyone could relate to. Something that truly, "makes you wonder." His music is something extraordinary on it's own. But when you start to learn more about him and who he really was, the quotes he says all start to make sense. He loved life and didn't take it for granted. He cherished the little things and I think he wanted that to be something he was known for. He was a brilliant artist. I only wish I could have created some of the things he did.
This quote is one of my favorites because it is so simple and straight to the point. Even if you've never been in love before you can still relate to this somehow. It can even be about a friendship if you've never been close to loving someone because that trust and love is still important with a strong friendship.
Loving someone can definitely be hard. It can be one of the scariest things you'll go through. But it can also be one of the happiest times. There's not certainty with life. There's no certainty that no one will ever hurt you. That the one who supposedly loves you will never hurt you. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't try. Being afraid is good. It will keep you alert and on your toes. No one can predict the future. You can't force someone to love you and you can't force yourself to love someone else. That's not true love. But it is hard to TRUST someone with your heart. With your feelings.
You kind of just have to have faith that they will protect your heart once you give it to them.Once you've said , "I love you." I really like this quote because it's basically saying, just because you SAY you love someone or something, doesn't necessarily mean it's true. Actions should always out speak your words. So who am I to believe what you say? Who am I to believe you with my heart when you say you love me?
Guess you just have to take that leap of faith...
Trust YOUR heart...not theirs...
Believe what YOUR gut is telling you...
Love can be a beautiful thing.

NYC banning BIG GULP
On the Today Show the other morning a discussion came up talking about banning Big Gulp sugary products larger than a 16 oz drink. At 7-Elevens all around they sell drink ranging from 20-64 oz of sugary products like soda. Recently, a suggestion has been brought to life to ban the selling of those drinks.
I can understand the reasoning, but personally I don't think this will work in the long run. It might work when/if they first ban them, but people will just find ways around it. A 16 oz drink is about the size of a small drink from McDonald's. When I go out to eat somewhere, I hardly choose to have a small drink. Does that mean I"m doing something wrong because I normally get a medium? I get the portions in the United States are ridiculously large, but I don't think banning those portions are going to help. When people go out, they'll just order two of whatever they get, thinking to themselves that it equals a normal size for them.
I went out to Flounder's last week with one of my girl friends and we split our meal. And boy am I glad we did! We're both pretty petite women, but we can both hold out own when it comes to food! But the portions at this place were huge. Even our appetizer was large. The food was delicious, but after we had the appetizer and split the pasta I was soo full!
I also think that when people order food, they want to get their money's worth. They want to get every bang for their buck. It's almost like they think they have to eat everything on their plate because that's what they paid for. I don't even think it's about wasting food these days. I get when people say they have a love for food. I love food just as much as the next person. But I also try to limit my intake of unhealthy foods and I also exercise on a daily basis.
It is really a shame how many individuals are overweight. Now-a-days, it's not big deal for children to have diabetes. Seriously...children and diabetes should never be in the same sentence. I honestly can't understand how people don't like working out. It doesn't have to be a vigorous workout every single day, but it should at least be something. Forget about looking good for a second...it's just not healthy more than anything. I get that it's harder for other's to get the ball rolling than it is for some. Why wouldn't you want to feel good about yourself inside and out?
I think trying to ban Big Gulps won't be a success. I think it almost has an underlying incentive besides trying to help people get healthy. It almost feels like it's a control thing. Like someone just wants to have to recognition of TRYING to take a step in the right direction. It almost seems in genuine...but that's just my personal opinion.
Banning Big Gulp doesn't mean people are going to automatically going to stop drinking soda and sugary drinks. I think they'll just go about it a different way...Just the way it is. People aren't going to stop doing something they like just because someone say's it's wrong. They have to want to do it themselves.
Eat healthy. Drink water. Live longer.

Painting the City!
There are definitely some perks about living on the beach and being a local! Everyone comes here on vacation and wants to know all the cool places to go, to eat and to experience. And it's really funny when you start getting questions about sharks and octopus and jellyfishes because they literally think we live in Jaws infested waters!
Last Tuesday I went to Bands on the Beach with some of my friends and it ended up being an epic night some crazy out-of-towners would never forget! lol Pensacola beach is a beautiful place to come and visit and a wonderful place to live! For those of you who don't know, Bands on the Beach is when a few bands come out a night and play for a big crowd of people just sitting in the grass and laying in the sand! It's a great place to go and relax after a long day!

Kyle, one of the friends I was with that night, works are Crab Trap on the beach. He is definitely a very chatty guy so I wasn't shocked when he said he met three ladies from out of town. Well, later that night at Bands, Kyle met up with them again and they came over and hung out with us. They were all really cool! Bands ended pretty early and the night was young. We wanted to show them a good time and brainstormed about what we could do! Tyler and I thought about going to graffiti the bridge! Kyle, Colton and the three girls all hadn't done it before so we thought why not!
They all had a great time! I don't think they believed us when we said we could spray paint a bridge just for fun! lol They were definitely concerned with getting arrested and getting in trouble! We just simple said "it was a local tradition!" I'm glad we were able to show them something they weren't able to do at home. We saw them out again the next night and that's when we said out goodbye's! I definitely think they'll be back though =]
A little local love is what it's all about! Great night with some great people!

Changing things up!
Yesterday I found a new workout I wanted to try from a fellow blogger and I definitely liked it! It was called the "JNL Fusion Lower Body Blast!" There is also one that is for your upper body that I'm going to try! Needless to say, my legs are dead...dead...dead!
Here is the workout:
Intervals 30 sec strength/ 30 sec cardio
Warm up do 3 rounds, 30 seconds intervals each of:
- Jumping jacks
- Run in place - arm swings/butt kicks
(I just did a light jog and some plyos instead)
3 rounds:
- Alternating forward lunges with weights
- Ski jumps over a line - get low, keep butt out
3 rounds:
- Squats with weights on shoulders
- Tow tap side to side in a mountain climber position
3 rounds:
- Alternating around the world lunges with weights
- Squat jumps with feet together
3 rounds:
- Plyo squat down & touch down
- Jump forwards, jump back over a line
3 rounds:
- Weighted sumo squat
- Soccer shuffles
3 rounds:
- Weighted calf raises
- Wide stance jumps with touch down
Cooldown, stretch, drink water!
It was definitely different from any workout I've done, but I liked it. I hate doing the same things over and over again. It get's boring after a while, and I think that's when people start to hate working out. I think working out and is almost like being married..or just being in a relationship. Over time...many things start to become complacent and the same. You gotta keep things spicy and ever evolving! That way...every time you find a new workout or a new sport you want to try...you fall in love all over again!!
I decided to do the workout outside instead of in the gym and it was definitely a hot one day! Was completely drenched by the end but felt great! :]
Yesterday I also found a recovery shake that I fell in love with compliments of http://yogaeatrun.squarespace.com! It's called the Oatmeal Peanut Butter Recovery shake!! It was delicious!

Ingredients:
1 cup of skim milk
1 banana
1/2 cup whole grain oats
1-2 Tbls of Peanut Butt
Needless to say..it was sooo good!! I definitely recommend it! I made the portions a little smaller to start out with, just in case I didn't like it. But I did. So you should try it. You should also try the new workout if you're looking for something different. Today was definitely a good day. About to head to Bands on the Beach with some friends and relax! Hope everyone has had a great day! <3

Make Working out Fun!
Working out has always been apart of my life! I can't remember a time when I wasn't active or trying to find new things to try. Soccer has definitely been the core of my being active. I have been playing soccer since I was 4 and couldn't imagine my life without it! It is definitely my one true passion. I think people underestimate how much soccer players really do run in one game. Especially people who have never played the sport before. By the end of those 90 most of us will have ran miles when that final whistle blows! So naturally in training, we have to build up our endurance. But for me personally, I hate running long distance, so I've always tried to find other ways to get that endurance and change things up every once in a while. Doing the same thing over and over again is never fun, especially for those who don't really like working out in the first place!
One of my favorite workouts are the NTC (Nike Training Club) workouts. There are so many different individual exercises that you can combine to come up with the perfect workout! This is an awesome/free app that anyone can download! Also, if you don't have an iPhone, you can go to YouTube and just about all of the exercises are online and demonstrated. No two workouts are the same. So you don't have to repeat yourself unless you want to.
My favorite workout is the "get strong" and "get toned" workouts because they are full body workouts with exercises you wouldn't normally think to do.
Working out is something you can also do with a friend! Find someone who will push you and keep up with you though...not someone who is going to slow you down and talk you out of doing the last rep. It will make things go faster and more enjoyable. Another key to finding a workout you love, is to find clothes that you love! Being comfortable is key. You don't want to have to constantly worry about what you're wearing. All you want to worry about is what set your on and how hard you're going to push yourself! Find some shoes that are comfortable and fun and that just make you want to go out there and workout. I love everything Nike and they have some of the best shoes to workout in and to fit your own style! That's why I love NikeID so much!

Nike bras are awesome as well! There are so many different types and styles you won't be able to say you can't find a bra that fits you right. And that's one less excuse to use when trying not to workout!
Working out doesn't always have to be something you dread. It should turn in to something you love to do. After every workout I always feel like a new women. Personally, I like getting my workout done in the morning, because then I have the whole day to do whatever and I feel great doing it. Also, working out doesn't always have to be able losing weight. It can just be about simple toning up and just wanting to feel good about yourself!
